Journey back to Betong for Gawai Dayak ’08.

It’s been awhile since the last posting on month of February. Well, we’re both been busy with our daily chores and spent less time to update our blog section. “Anang nganu wai”. Okay now, cut the chase, recently we ‘re both just came back from tiring, exciting and most of all, fun trip with our family to our longhouse at Betong, Saribas. We spent 12 hours plus on the road and thank goodness the whole day was raining rather than hot sunny day like usually in Miri. Besides listened to music & accessing the atmosphere around along the way managed to took memorable pictures.

When we reached Sibu town, we managed to drop- by and do window-shopping at Medan Mall shopping complex as when we’re about to get in to the car, visibly see the dark cloud surrounding the place. So we quickly find our exit from the Medan Mall heading to the Lanang bridge and braved the heavy rain. Still remember that 3 roundabout before we found our turn to Lanang Bridge road.

Dark clouds on it’s way..

Wonder what’s the use of the few row of plank built in the drain, find it kind of interesting.

As we all came across the Bukit Kayu Malam ( Night Wood Hill) the locals called it, it was a breath-taking view as our car move slowly heading up hill and everyone is enjoying the astonished evening view from the hill and the mist surrounding. “feel like in Cameron Highland”, my hubby break the silent. Yes indeed, thou it’s drizzling, cold and wet but can’t deny the beauty of mother nature. Wish could grab the mist then put it in the jar as souvenir.

Finally we reached our destination and it’s quite a relief, I say so because all of us are already very tired from the ride but back in the car can see everyone is still smiling, cracking jokes and sing along to some of our fav. songs.
